Mary Pat here with you today to bring you your monthly sketch and some fun inspiration using the Brand New collection Forever Family. I just love this new collection. The colors are just so pretty and just perfect for all your family photos. First up today I have my sketch for you. It is a card sketch that I think you will use over and over again because it is very versatile.
Here is my take on the August Sketch.
To finish the card off I added some little pearls and scattered them around. You always need some pearls and bling. Right?
Next I took this wonderful collection and made a masculine birthday card. I always need some basic masculine cards to send out and this card works really well with this. I used my Silhouette to create the layered hexagons and just added them to the card. A very clean and simple look. To add a little dimension I pop dotted several of the hexagons and then I added some buttons to give it a little more embellished look. I don't know about you but I just love the hexagon shapes!
Now for my layout. I have been wanting to scrap this photo of my mother and mother in law with my boys for over a year and I just could never find the right paper. This Forever Family was just perfect!
I love all the flourishes on the paper and the die cut flourish was just perfect. I also added some flowers that I misted to match the paper perfectly. (Hint: The Dewey and Pumpkin Spice mists by Studio Calico match the paper PERFECTLY!) Very fun!
I hope you enjoyed the sketch and inspiration today. I will be back next month with another scrapbooking layout sketch for you. Have a wonderful and crafty day! See you next month!
