The Wizardry collection from Moxxie is perfect for scrapping those Harry Potter themed pictures. This layout is obviously from my son's birthday and it was a lot of fun! Among other things, we had Wand Selection (an arts and crafts activity), Potions Class (making milkshakes with mix-ins!), and a Quidditch Match (a Snitch-shaped pinata that they broke with brooms!).
With Halloween just around the corner, I think it is perfect for little wizards and witches, too! I want to share how I created the frame. It is a super easy cut down from Moxxie's Wizard Wares paper:
Using a craft knife, carefully cut along the edge of the paper following the frame design.
Remove the center and set it aside because we will use it later. At his point we have this 12"x12" frame:
I measured 6.5" from the right edge and made a cut on the top and bottom:
I overlapped and adhered the paper so it looked like this:
To shorten the frame, I cut 8.5" down from the top edge, overlapped and adhered the paper to create the final frame:
Remember the piece of paper we set aside? When you flip it over it has a really cool checkerboard pattern accented with wands. I cut it down and used it to back the paper frame.
You can adjust the measurements to create whatever size frame you need.
Good luck and be sure to share your creations on Moxxie's Facebook page - we would love to see them!
Thanks for stopping by! Susie
