I don’t know about your neck of the woods, but around here, Santa always shows up just after Thanksgiving. If you have plans to visit him at the local mall, wouldn’t it be nice to have a layout ready and waiting?
You can create this super simple layout with two pieces of paper from Moxxie’s Party at the Pole collection and the coordinating Die Cuts.
1. Start with a sheet of Santa’s Crew. Using a craft knife, cut from behind Mrs. Claus on the bottom left - following the snowbank behind the little girl elf and the snowman – all the way to the star on top of the Christmas tree on the bottom right. This creates a slit for your photo. (Mine is 5” x 7”)
2. From the Party at the Pole Die Cut sheet, add one of the candy cane striped poles to the right side of the layout, so that it tucks behind the Christmas tree. Next add the die cut that looks like a stack of presents, so that it overlaps the edge of the photo.
3. The harlequin patterned oval die cut is the perfect background for a simple title. I used white Thickers from American Crafts to spell out “Santa” and accented it with one of the holly & berry die cuts.
4. Finally, you need to cut a tag from Toy Shoppe, top it with a gingham ribbon, and tuck it behind your photo for journaling.
That’s all there is to it. You are done!
Unless…you are like me and you always have several pictures you want to scrap!
No problem! With a few minor changes, there is plenty of room on this layout for more pictures– especially if you print them out as wallets. Here is an alternate version:
If you have created any “visit with Santa” layouts using Party at the Pole, I hope you will share them on our Facebook page. We would really love to see them.
Thanks for stopping by! Susie
