Hey everyone! Rebecca here today to share a really cool way to make your own background using a piece of Moxxie paper as a base. I worked with the new Basketball line for this. I love the papers as they are already nice and grungy. They can easily be used for other themes, not just basketball pictures! Here is what I started with:
As you can see, it really is cool and grungy just on it's own. I wanted it even more messy, to match this photo taken at the mouth of a grafitied tunnel.
I began by pouring watered down white paint onto the paper. While still wet, I spritzed on several shades of orange and black color sprays.
After it completely dried, I set my photo back down on the page. Wow, what a huge difference the feel of this paper has now, right?
The black in the center looks almost like the tunnel from the picture has continued onto the page. That was the effect I was going for and I think I achieved it. Here is the finished page, after adding a title into the "cave" and some quick journaling strips.
I hope this has inspired you to play around with paints and other mediums to customize your Moxxie papers. It's really fun to experiment!
