I created an envelope, big enough to hold 3 flower seed packets and then added the cute little tabs to each packet to make it easier to pull out. Thought it would be a cute little Thank you gift for any gardening friends. :) Here's a few close ups of some of the details on the envelope.
I punched out the little lacy strip of paper with a Martha Stewart punch, did some inking around it and added the cute little buttons.
Here is a closer look at the cute tabs. They come on the sticker sheet that comes with the Quite Contrary line! Super cute! I only had the 2 so I traced one more and cut it out for my 3rd packet and added the cute little heart to it. Thanks for stopping by!
My great-nephew, Milo, is like all other little boys. He loves digging in the dirt, helping his dad and being outside. His family planted a garden this year, which Milo really enjoyed.
I love the Quite Contrary collection by Moxxie and used it on this grid layout. First I cut my largest piece of paper, added Milo's picture and then pop dotted the sticker that says "I Make Dirt Look Good". Small flowers were punched from the pink and purple papers and pop dotted randomly on the page. I added white buttons to the center of each flower. I cut pieces of patterned papers to fill in the right side of the page, varying the sizes. One piece has journaling (with a bit of swirl cut from a flourish sticker), one has the "How Does Your Garden Grow?" sticker and two were left blank. All edges were inked with brown to make them stand out.
Everything on the page is from Quite Contrary except the buttons and the letters. I used the dark letters from the Paws 'n Claws collection (Kitty sticker sheet) for the title.
Quite Contrary is one of my favorite paper lines by Moxxie! Visit Scrapbook.com or your local scrapbook store to buy this collection. Thanks for stopping by today!
How does your garden grow? Or...your layout? When you start on a project, do you plan out what you want to use? Do you think about colors? Do you think about textures? Do you think about different materials?
The layout I made today is all kinds of nurturing, like you would a garden. I used Moxxie Quite Contrary paper and stickers.
I do not have a "green thumb" with plants and flowers, but I lovingly add flowers and nature to layouts all the time.
This Moxxie line naturally lends itself for a "gardenlike" theme so I used a small photo behind a window die cut of a woman in her garden. I love the small detail of flowers in the window box.
The seed packets were cut out and placed randomly.
The watering can was also cut out and lifted off the page, then because all watering cans should have something trickling out of it, I added some texture to make it rain.
When the papers are this good, all you need to add is a little sun, water and creativity.
Good morning!! I've got a cute layout to share with you today! My layout was done using Moxxie's Quite Contrary line, an absolutely gorgeous line. Once again, my fussy cutting addiction was very happy and well fed with this line! lol! The designs went so well with pictures of my oldest daughter when she was 2 years old. She sure loved to go out and smell the beautiful tulips in the spring. My favorite part was how gently she would try to handle those tulips so not to break them. Such a sweetie.
I fussy cut the watering can from the Quite Contrary Sprinkle a Day paper and cut apart a seed packet from the Seedin' & Weedin' paper. I inked the the little seed packet up a bit with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink and then tucked it behind the gorgeous flowers set around the watering can.
I also cut out some the flowers from the Vine & Dandy paper to add a touch of accent to my picture and my journaling block.
My favorite part was the lattice fence print on the back of the Seedin' & Weedin' paper. I did some fussy cutting along the top to really bring it out and added a bit more of Tim Holtz ink around it. Doesn't it just look perfect!? I love the look of it. :)
Hello! Well, it's the end of the month and many of you are getting ready to enjoy a nice LONG weekend! To most of us, Labor Day weekend is basically the end to summer and we are moving on to the upcoming holiday season. Well, unfortunately the end of August means we are having to say good-bye to one of our Moxxie Muses. We are very sad to see Rhonda leave us but we know there are lots of great adventures in her future! I know I sure have enjoyed getting to know Rhonda and seeing her awesome work. She is one very talented lady and she is definitely one of the nicest people I have met. I am going to miss working with her but at least I have a friendship that will NEVER end!
So with that being said, I created a "Good Luck" card to let Rhonda know that we wish her the best and we will miss her dearly.
This card was created using the "Quite Contrary" collection! I love the colors of this collection and it works great for layouts and cards!
Thank you so much for stopping by and make sure you let Rhonda know how much you will miss her! Don't forget to go check out her blog and flow her, she is one talented lady!
Rhonda...you are going to be missed around here! Thanks for all of your dedication and inspiration in the past year. You are such a blessing to us all. HUGS!!
Moxxie Muse Cathy sharing a quick and simple layout with Moxxie's Quite Contrary collection. This collection is simply stunning filled gorgeous colors, patterns and perfect for everything from baby to gardening. Cards, layouts and all kinds of fun have been inspired with this collection. It is one of my very favorite Moxxie collections ever! I have included the link so that you can see the whole line. Yep, gorgeous!
Simple...but I love how this turned out. The focus in on the beautiful photo, I added just a few splatters of Glimmer Mist, twine and some die cuts from my Silhouette Cameo...the Moxxie paper and stickers do the rest of the work for me. Perfect!
Thanks for joining us today at Moxxie and I hope you all enjoy this wonderful day!
