Hi Everyone!
Mary Pat here with you again this month and boy, do I have tons of inspiration for you today! The Fourth is just around the corner and there is still time for you to get a couple of projects in. I have three today for you! So let's get ready!
First up is my monthly sketch. This month I have a super easy and fun card sketch for you. I love to make cards but they need to be super fast and easy for me and this one fits the bill.
For my card I used the Hometown Celebration collection. I was able to use my scraps from other projects and it came together so nicely. You can make this and have it in the mail in no time!
Supplies:
Paper- HC-1213,HC1211,HC-1214)
Stickers-HC-2199
Cardstock- Bazzill
Stamps- Hero Arts
Ink- Hero Arts
Tools- circle punch
Dies- Paper Trey Ink
Next up we have a home decor piece. When I was little my Grandmother would always have a new 4th of July pinwheel for all of the grandkids when we arrived at the party. I have always loved pinwheels and this piece was inspired by this wonderful memory. This piece is super easy and so fun to make! You can even get the kids involved in making the pinwheels. My 6 year old had fun helping me make them. I also made some rosettes just to add some variation. I got out my glue gun and attached them to a wooden stick. For the basket I made it using my Silhouette but you could use a little bucket from the dollar store or any other container. I first filled it floral foam and stuck my pinwheels and rosettes into it and arranged them like flowers. To cover up the floral foam I added some moss on top and then you are done! Very quick and easy.
Supplies
Cardstock- bazzill
Paper- HC-1213, HC-1211, HC-1214, HC1212
Stickers- HC-2199
Tools- Silhouette
Brads- misc.
Finally I bring you a fun banner for your house. Again this is a fun project for the kids to get involved. I love putting banners on my mantel. It just brightens up the room!
Some close ups. Here you can see that I pop dotted a lot of the elements to give it dimension. I love foam tape. For the letters I cut 2 letters the same size but in different colors. The first and darker letter I adhered with regular adhesive. The second and lighter color I foam dotted it and placed it slightly off center so that you can see the darker underneath.
