Moxxie
released the Road To Recovery collection, an elegant and poignant line designed for people fighting long-term illnesses, in July. Moxxie thought it was time to create a beautiful line that focused on healing, but also encouraged the writer to be honest about what they were really going through. The designs of this collection are versatile and can not only help a patient document their recovery, but it can also be used for get well, thinking of you, and sympathy cards, as well as to create layouts on just about any topic. Here is a set of cards we made using Road To Recovery.
One of the great things about this collection are the number of wonderful phrases and sayings on the stickers and diecuts. They make perfect sentiments for encouragement and thinking of you cards.
The collection also lends itself well to being combined with other great scrapbooking products like inks, mists, and other embellishments.
This card uses no less than 5 diecuts! Two of the banner dies were used, and I opted to turn them over for the back patterns. I distressed their edges a bit, then sprayed them with Glimmer Mist's Marshmallow mist. Love! The yellow circle with the flower, the scallop strip, and the sentiment "Hope" are the other three dies. I also needed some gray twine, and didn't have any, so I made my own. I took a cream twine I had, some gray ink from Technique Tuesday, and colored the twine. I also was missing a teal flower that would match. As it turns out, Quick Quotes' "Tahiti" Powder Puff Ink is just the right color! I used the ink to shade two white flowers, and finally grabbed a couple of Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest to use in my flowers. I love how all these great products worked perfectly with this collection!
This lovely card would be appreciated by anyone who was going through a rough time. The sentiment, "Today matters" is one of the stickers from our elements sticker sheet.
I love the idea of using diecuts to make quick, beautiful, coordinated cards instead of using stamps. Here, four different diecuts are used. Two banner diecuts make the vertical strip, (and I even embossed and sanded one to add a little more detail!) a circle flower diecut for an embellishment, and the meaning of the card was made with this encouraging quote.
This final card in the set is a great pick-me-up card. I again used ink to tint my ribbon gray, (and I added "gray ribbons" to my scrappy shopping list!) and cut the diecut shape to fit the placement on my card.
I hope you found some inspiration here today! Make sure you hop to all the Muses' blogs to see their fantastic creations. Also, be sure to check out our Facebook page, and see the projects we've uploaded there, too!
Thanks so much for the awesome blog hop and chance to win. This line is beautiful! Definitely on my wish list!
