Hello everyone Moxxie Muse Michelle here today. Recently my youngest son, Brian had the opportunity to venture to Washington DC. He and eight other kids from his school earned the honor of representing Iowa and Emmetsburg High School in the National History Day competition.
He accumulated several pieces of memorabilia to document this occasion such as an article in the local paper, a Certificate of Acheievement from the state competition in Des Moines and others. There are many ways to incorporate these items into your scrapbook. One of them is to create a pocket page. This is what I wanted for Brian's album.
I used the Liberty line for this project and will probably use it a lot more to document the photos from his trip as well. I hadn't used it before and I truly love it. The colors and muted and quite frankly...just gorgeous.

As you can see I don't have much in the pockets yet. I keep asking Brian to bring everything to me....but you know how teenagers are. I am confident that I will have them in my possession soon. LOL!
There are two larger pockets and one small pocket for the journaling card.
Then I added some of the stickers and rub-ons as embellishments. I think it turned out great! I can't wait to add a couple more pages with the photos. That is for another post.
How do you add articles, awards and achievements to your pages? Share some ideas on our Facebook page. We would love to see them.
Until next time,
Michelle

Pocket pages are so practical - and this one is just great - love the way you feature Lady Liberty on the front. Great idea to have a pull out tag for journaling!

I love this idea! I have lots of little things I need to stash from my daughter's trip to D.C.
Thanks for the inspiration!
