Today we have a special Guest Blogger: Peggy Stolley!
Hello all! I hope you’re enjoying the blog hop with all the cool stuff the Muses have made to share with you. This month, they invited little ol’ me to join in the fun. (And it WAS fun!)
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Peggy Stolley, and I have been involved with Moxxie for several years, in one capacity or another. I am currently working as a consultant with them, but I’ve also been given the title of Head Muse Cheerleader! My role is to motivate and celebrate all that the Muses do. It is a very fun job, and I get to see lots of inspiration on a daily basis.
I decided to do a “retro” layout using the new Grid Iron collection. Moxxie always does such awesome sports collections, and this football one is no exception! Since I have the role of “head cheerleader,” I dug up some photos from my high school days as a…you guessed it…cheerleader. Seemed fitting!
Here’s the layout I created:
I used several different sides and patterns from the collection, chopping and snipping to get the look I wanted. I also thought I should accent the layout with my Alma mater’s school colors, black and gold. I added a Bazzill “Just the Edge” to create the black pennant banner, black and white paper twine for texture, and then I dug into the stickers. The sticker die is superb! Lots of easy shapes that can be sanded, layered, and used to create lots of good visuals. Finally, I added the “SPIRIT!” word with Moxxie’s new alphabet stickers. I LOVE these! There are TONS of letters, both upper and lower case, and the size is perfect for smaller titles and labeling. I think the final product is cute, and it does the photos justice.
Thanks for playing along with the hop. I hope you enjoyed our projects! Peggy
