Hi All! Hopefully you're enjoying this beautiful spring weather we're having. When it's not windy, I love to take my scrappy materials outside, breathe in the fresh air, and really see how my scrappy bling sparkles in the sunlight. Anyone with me? Anyone? LOL
Today, as promised, I'm sharing another section from my greeting card envelope album. This section highlights all the work, and fun, my Phi Theta Kappa alumni association accomplished at a recent student leadership event.
As you can see, I used Moxxie's Winterland collection as the base for this section. Even though the event was held in October, ice skating and Frozen were running themes throughout the weekend so I wanted to capture that with my materials. However, I also worked in elements from Moxxie's new Volleyball line to highlight some of the key moments of our "down" time.
For my journaling, I wrote out a card and placed a picture on the back of it. Then I attached a vellum pocket to the page and placed the journal card inside. This way, when somebody pulls the card out, they can still see the skates behind the envelope.
I tried to keep the back side of the insert as simple as possible because the front already has a ton of layers. One thing about this type of mini album is that it bulks up fast! Or, it may just be that I have a secret obsession with foam tape - that isn't too much of a secret, though.
Again, I opted to stay with Moxxie's Winterland collection, using the a-side of Frozen. I used a strip of washi tape to give some foundation for the Moxxie Grey alpha stickers to create my title. I can honestly say that I LOVE the Moxxie Grey alpha stickers. They just seem to match everything.
Alright, scrappy friends! I hope you like this section of my album and get inspired to make your own. It's a great project and so easy to fill!!
Stay Scrappy My Friends!
