With everyone posting their fun back to school pictures, it makes me think of all the fun back to school activities. Among my favorites were choir, band, and drama, so I thought this week I'd share some fun pages made with our new Music In Me collection.
I'll start with this lovely page by Michelle James.
Michelle's son Brian was an active member in his high school marching band, playing the saxophone, and he made some awesome friends in band who were more than happy to pose for the fun group picture.
What's extra-fun about Michelle's page is the phrases she used as titles from our Music Cutouts sheet. "Kick Brass" is my favorite, but I also giggle at "I'm with the band."
Here's a page I created for my friends' daughter and her marching band pics.
This page turned out really cute! Ally plays the clarinet, so I had lots of ways to use the clarinet embellishments on the layout. I also think the phrase, "Life without music would be 'flat' " is really funny, so I'm glad I got to use it.
I chose to use lots of the black, white, and gray papers and elements on the layout, and add the school color red cardstock to match the photos. I even used a doily to add a classy, fancy touch to the page.
Finally, another aspect of this collection is theater/drama. Many customers have told us how they need more papers to use for theater photos, and we thought it tied in nicely with this line.
The Theater paper makes the perfect background sheet to highlight any stage scene photos, but I especially love how it made the bright colors in these photos pop out! I used a few of the back patterns from the collection to break up the black background, and I cut the title to match both the yellow in the photos and the yellow in the collection. The Music Cutouts sheet has a journaling block on it that worked just right with the wallet size photo I used, and gave me just enough room to share my thoughts.
I hope you found some inspiration today! Let us know how you can use this creative collection!
If you haven't already gotten your hands on it, be sure to ask your local store or favorite online store to carry Music In Me for your talented musician.
