Disney Box Card w/ Muse Joan

Making a box card has been on my "papercrafts to do list" for a long time. Last week I got busy and made this one, using Moxxie's fantastic new Magical Moments line.

I began with a plain white box card. I covered the top parts of the box with the b side of the Magical Cutouts paper. The large star sticker was added to the front flap.

The bottom parts of the box and the back were covered with the Wishes paper. I backed the Main Street Signpost (from the cutouts paper) with the b side of the Magical Memories paper.

I used many of the Magical Moments papers and a Tim Holtz die for the flowers. I layered flowers, adding black cardstock behind some and putting enamel dots in the centers. The Family sticker was put on a small dowel stick. I cut the stars from the front of the Wishes paper and layered them together.

Graduation? Part 2 w/ Muse Julie

Its definitely closer to Graduation around here and the invitations are rolling in and in and in and in...

But I'm prepared and have already started a few cards and gift toppers.

In the previous post I shared my girl Grad cards and today I have the guys, using Graduation Day.

Moxxie does an excellent job using neutral colors to go with almost any school.

I really like the punch-out die cuts too, they made for an easy "shaker" card.

I also promised to share a few gift toppers and I used mostly scraps and a little creativity.

Locker Softball Decor w/ Muse Ange

I may have already mentioned that my daughter's softball season is in full swing?

Well, we just decorated their lockers for districts and I wanted to share with you the little "encouragement" I added to the great mix of decorations from all the Moms.

I used the awesome Fast Pitch line, of course. Specifically the back side of the cutouts page. From the moment I saw that stitch print I knew I wanted to use it to do something fun for my daughter and her teammates. 

 

 

So I used it as the base and worked up the rest of my quote and elements between my computer and my silhouette. I love Megan Trainor's song It's all about the Bass, but being a softball player, the first thing that comes to mind for me is BASE! lol 

So I used my computer and some yellow doodlebug cardstock to create the top portion, then designed my own home plate on my silhouette and cut it from some plain white cardstock and then, slightly larger, from some black cardstock.

 

 

I ran the white plates through my printer to add the rest of the quote and then added ink and some fussy cut softballs from the front side of the cutouts page. I made a total of 15 and added some little Baby Ruth candy bars to all of them.

Graduation? w/ Muse Julie

Look at me getting all organized and getting stuff done!

I've been thinking ahead lately and trying to get out all birthday, anniversary,  and congratulations cards out early. And so I have been working on Graduation cards. It's only a month until all those parties happen and I want to enjoy them!

So, I've created a few cards and here are the first couple...

Moxxie's Graduation Day papers are neutral to accommodate all school colors, ours is black and red.

These are for the girl graduates, next post is for the guys (there might even be some decorations).

Spring cards & gift boxes w/ Muse Joan

Hi, Joan here with two pillow boxes and two cards to share with you today. These would make cute favors filled with candy. Or they could be used for holding money or a gift card. Let's look at the boxes first.

I used the Moxxie Springtime line to make the pillow boxes. The orange box is made with the b side of Dandelion Wishes. I wrapped the box with sheer orange ribbon and added the purple butterfly sticker from the Springtime sticker sheet.

The second box is made from the b side of the Take Flight paper. I wrapped this box in orange & white twine. Then I added a flower punched from the same papers. A purple gem was added to the middle.

The cards are 4"x4" in size, on white card bases. I added small pieces of the Springtime paper and stickers from an older Moxxie line, Easter- rific. The cards were layered onto a Moxxie die cut for scanning.

Happy Easter Basket w/ Muse JenT

Hi all, happy almost easter!!! So glad spring is finally here. How about you?

Today i am here to share a fun project i made using the bright happy colors of the springtime  and queen of the crop collections.

So i started by making a whole bunch of 1 inch by 12 inch strips (a great way to use up scraps too) and then layed them out to make a base . Then i weaved the other strips in between.

When i was happy with the size i folded up a couple inches to become the sides . Lastly i took wider  strips i had and used them to make the handle and to cover the raw edge if my basket sides.

Lastly, i added a ribbon spray i made then pop-dotted a egg doily over it with the green alphas to finish it with happy easter.

Lucky 2 have U w/ Muse Wendi

Hello and good morning..

With St Patty's day up and around the corner, I thought it would be a fun idea to leave a little goodie out for my husband to let him know just how lucky I am to have him in my life.

I decided to grab some Butterfingers, his favorite, and wrap it up with some cute papers and add a fun note to it.

I layered the wrapping of papers, I used the brown "Got Mud"  paper (FNR-1514) and then added a green layer and topped it off with the "Queen of the Crop " paper (QCR-1516) and punched a border on the edges.

I also layered the arrow stickers, pop dotting one of them up to give some dimension:

I then added a fun little note to my honey, and cut out one of the pennants and added a label on it:

And there you go. A quick easy project to bring a smile to someone you love's face....

Valentine's Treat w/ Muse Amelia

Today I've got a fun Valentine's Day treat for you! I found these cute little test tubes in the $1 bins at Michael's.

 

 

 I didn't know what I was going to do with them but I knew I just had to make something! This is what I came up with! 

 

 

Adorable! Right!? I found a great tutorial on how to make the holders over at Splitcoast Stampers. Then I used some of Moxxie's Grid Iron and Tiny Dancer lines to make it all pretty. 

 

 

**I followed the directions on where to score and cut to create the box but did NOT begin to actually glue it all together until I had finished decorating it first! 

 

I cut a strip of designer paper about 1/8" to a 1/4" smaller than back of the box and used my corner round edge punch and did a bit of distressing on it before I adhered it down to my box. Then I cut out a strip to wrap around the middle of the box part and distressed it a bit too. I tied together two small pieces of pink & brown bakers twine and stapled them down to the box. I punched out a cute little heart of Moxxie's Tiny Dancer line and layered on a Mambi sticker- love, using 3d-dots for dimension.

 

 

On the test tube measured around the test tube cut a strip of designer paper the length and width I needed. Leaving about 1/2" extra on the length to overlap. Before wrapping it around I found the middle of my strip punched a heart out and taped a small piece pink paper behind so the pink would peek through the punched out heart. Then I traced around it with a bronze Sharpie. Once I adhered the strip around the test tube I used some more pink & brown bakers twine to tie around.

 

 

Such a fun little treat for someone special!
