It's GO TIME ***MOXXIE*** style w/ Muse Amy

I love to see a paper theme and twist it. It takes creative thinking to see Christmas paper and scrap summer park pictures with it. Sometimes, scrapping for me is just playtime.

 

This page uses the new #MOXXIE line RACING. I used the orange B side of the "Racing" paper and cut the black "Motorcross" paper for the base. Then I splashed yellow paint all over and added some random embellishments. This page even leaves room for 3 tags of journaling about my son at this age.

So your challenge- twist you next project. You don't have to play by any rules. No "scrapbook police" will "get you." And have fun with it.

Need for Speed w/ Muse Ange

Hey there,
Ange with you today and I am so excited to be showing you this super fun Racing line!

 

 

I had these really cute pictures of my son at the local carnival riding a motorcycle on a ride and thought this line was perfect for them.

 

 

I used Speed for the base and then took another sheet of it and fussy cut the flags out for the banner along the top. Then I used the B side of Racing Cutouts to back my photo.

 

 

These flames were perfect for a bit of fussy cutting and then I slid my photo under.

 

 

I also cut a couple of the strips from Racing Cutouts and layered them for a base for my title using the new Red Alphas. I love the chevron stickers! Awesome for directing the eye where you want.

Are You Ready For Some Football? w/ Muse Amy

The winner of the Blog Hop will be announced this afternoon.

 

Just got some of the new paper lines from MOXXIE and boy, am I excited to create with these.

Looking back in time, I found this pic of my son a year ago playing "football" with his Daddy. Maybe someday he'll play "real" ball, but for now a day at the park is all this Mama can handle.

Moxxie created a super sporty line called Grid Iron. I distressed edges and added some metal brads and a little wooden word embellishment to round out the page.

I love how these papers have such strong contrasting colors- the browns, greens and creams really pop. I'm a huge fan of this sticker set too. It creates the fun for you.

Gift & card w/ Muse Amelia

Good morning! Can you believe it's August already!? I surely can't. For me August means that my 3 daughters all return to school. Which is all rather bitter-sweet for me. How's your August looking? 

 

Well, today I want to share with you a cute, fun little project you can do as a gift or way to add that little "extra" touch to a get together or just fun way to make your kids smile. :) I've decorated a boring bottle of bottled water and made it super cute and created a small card to go with it using Moxxie's Child's Play line. Totally cute, right? ;)

 

 

I wrapped a strip of It's a Breeze paper around the bottle and then for the little hanging down pocket to add a flavor packet I started out with a piece of cardstock that was 8.5" x 2.5" and then I scored at 1.75" and then again at 5.5". I used some sticky strip to glue the sides to create the pocket but staples work really well also. Then I decorated the front up with a few scraps that I had (great way to use every last bit!) and created an adorable pinwheel with a another scrap of paper I had. Then I just couldn't stop there so I made a cute little card to go with it. I used more scraps for card and a fun punch out and stamped the sentiment on the front. Quick and easy I really dresses up a boring old water bottle! ;)

Little Mountain Man w/ Muse Amy

I've gone camping every summer of my life since I've been alive. And now that I have my own little family- we camp together too. One of my husband's favorite activities is hiking. This MOXXIE line called Happy Camper is just that- HAPPY!

 For this Hiking page, I used rough, distressed edges. I misted the green with "dirty" brown and inked edges of photo mats in green and brown.

   

I loved the trees on one patterned paper but wanted a green background. Easy solution- fussy cutting. It's inexpensive and can be done in front of the TV.

 

 I'm in love with that family photo right now. Isn't my family cute?

Happy camper lil shadow box w/ Muse JenT

Hi all, how is your summer going? I can't believe summer is half over already! my favorite part of summer is getting outside more. So i thought to get the feel of bringing the outside in when I have to be inside would be to make some fun home decor. So, i used the happy camper collection to make a fun little shadow box to hang in my hallway.  

 

 

I first, grabbed an old watch box lid that i had (the other half i used on a past project) so it is a two-fer and up cycling in one. I then grabbed my brown acrylic paint and rubbed it all over the box for a distressed look.

 

 

Next i looked at the die cuts and saw the wood look frame... the size matched the box (i lucked out) then i grabbed  some more die cuts and papers to try and started adding the layers. On the inside is the green plaid paper followed by a oval die cut and then the tree die cut with pop dots behind it . Next, i added a back to nature sticker on top with pop dots behind also.

 

 

I then glued the frame die cut on the edges and added a flower i made using the pretty brown polka dot paper and a butterfly punch and added a tree brad to hold it all together.

 

 

Lastly i added the swirls next to the flower and tied a ribbon to the top. Oh! I almost forgot, the striped banner sticker i wrapped around the edges to finish it off.

The Boys of Summer w/ Muse Julie

Wow! Is it me or is summer going WAY too fast??  Hopefully your days have been filled with all kinds of fun activities and hopefully, you have some photos that you want to show off?  So, make a fun "one sheet wonder" brag book.

My very generous friend spends any free time at the ball park watching her nephew play baseball and as a wonderful surprise to the team (really, its for the parents) she made an awesome mini album of each individual player! We are talking at least 15 mini albums!! Oh my.  But it gave me the idea of a smaller version...brag book.

My brag book is one sheet of cardstock folded to house three pockets to keep photos... (or trading cards).

I used leftover At the Ballpark paper and thought that any "theme" would be cute.

I love to embellish but decided that to carry this around it would have to have flat embellishments. So I chose stickers. Rub ons would look good too.

Lots of pockets for lots of photos!

Just a quick and easy brag book so you can still enjoy the rest of summer!

Hello and good morning...

One thing that I LOVE about summer is the bright, fun colors that come along with the season. I always take a ton of photos of the kids swimming and love the bold colors that come from the photos.

I actually used the Easter-rific line for this summer page of my daughter. The colors in it perfectly matched with the colors on her floaties and swimwear.

I added one of the border stickers across the top of the page that had a wave shape, and then added lots of "waved" stitching over the top to create a water feel.

And then also fussy cut another border strip and added it underneath the papers to add some color pop to the page:

I also cut in half, one of the journaling cards, and fussy cut some pennants out for the bottom portion of my page:

So mix around those lines and use them more than just the season they were intended for!!!

S'mores w/ Muse Amelia

Good morning! How is everyone doing? :) Today I have a fun project that I made to share with you. As I was looking through my Moxxie goodies I came across Happy Camper line. When I saw it I immediately knew I wanted to use it for! To make a fun S'mores Kit! 

 

 

Isn't it awesome! Happy Camper line had the perfect elements to make this cute little box! I used a sheet of Gone Camping and cut it into 3" strips and went around the middle of the whole box.

 

 

I then cut about an 1" strip off of Stick-y sheet. I accordioned it a bit to create some faux ribbon. I inked up the edges of it and all the embellishments and the edges of the box with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink. Love inking up my edges with that ink!

 

 

I went through the die cut sheet and found the perfect pieces to use as some tags. I punched a little hole into each one and then threaded through some twine and tied them onto the box. Isn't that owl ADORABLE!? :) Here you can see a little better where I inked up the edges.

 

 

Then I made sure to fully stock this box up! It's all ready to go! :) 

Who wants to make some S'mores now!? ;)

Who's on vacation? Anyone going somewhere tropical? Maybe you're like me and dreaming of a beautiful, ocean getaway?
 
Well, at least the weather here in the Midwest is cooperating for a "tropical" feel, lots of humidity and plenty of heat! But no matter, I will sip a fruity drink in the air conditioning and let my hair frizz and put together a tropical paradise layout.

 Ms Luau is a fun layout using Moxxie Paradise Found papers and stickers.
 
 

 Instead of photos inside the filmstrip, I added small patterned paper. It's a subtle detail that makes a nice border.
 


 
 I added a lot of clusters, shells, flowers, and these really fun stickers that came with the paper line.
 
 

 
 And lastly, the alphas were perfect for using in my title.

 Look at these gorgeous, happy women, I will drink pineapple juice to that!
